Covid-19 Watch: 3,490 new cases bring total to 4,752,490

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 3,490 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (Aug 19), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 3,487 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 3 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,752,490 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 6 deaths were recorded on Friday with no cases of brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,130.
